
Edythe J. Hayes Middle School is located in Lexington, Kentucky. The doors to Hayes first opened to students in August of 2004. Hayes is an innovator of school technology in Kentucky, with student to computer ratio of 2:1. The faculty and staff of Hayes are encouraged to engage "all students in a safe and nurturing environment that promotes academic excellence and develops responsible, respectful leaders."
The music department of Hayes has gained national recognition through both the performance groups and its directors.
